My journey continues into day two.
Work trugs along by treating patients with acupuncture this morning and being able to get a noon workout session before getting back to work.
Before I get into my workout, one of my patients who has Cerebellar Ataxia has been coming to me with a tight glute+bursitis in the right glute. Treating this, I also treated their cerebellum and their “dysfunction” that is causing them to have difficulty walking. Basically, it looks like they are walking like they are drunk. Short story told, their glute is much better, but the AMAZING thing happening is my patient and their partner and some people in her life has noticed her walking is improving. Imagine that
Next, on to my workout.
This work out wasn’t hard, but it felt LONG.
Body weight burpees and 65 pounds deadlift.
Today my soreness is my triceps and the inner thighs. I’m feeling a victory that, one, I came back for day two, and, two, my soreness didn’t stop me from continuing. On top of that, I did burpees. One hundred burpees. Triceps all day. Why did I do this? Cardio. haha Yes. I wanted a movement that taxed the cardiovascular and also helps the whole body at the same time. The deadlifts were decent. I put light weight to get my body used to the movement again. I have had multiple injuries, so light weight and a small introduction will help me in the long run. Think of it as an intense rehab. Total time to complete was 26 minutes. Before, 100 burpess took me under 8 minutes to do… Do the math.
My next, so called, “SHAME” was, I ate half a large of pizza at 10pm last night. Reasons why it was good for me was I didn’t have dinner before hand. And I need that extra weight. Now I know what you’re all thinking, but pizza is delicious. Also, I don’t eat pizza at all so this was nice to have and it didn’t taste healthy. It’s a good reminder of why I want to eat cleaner. (but also indulge in what the world offers)
